The first-class care provided by CCM is primarily due to one particular feature: it is organised around a single suite of technical facilities, allowing it to take an effective, collegiate approach to treating patients, and avoid multiple transfers and unnecessary tests.
In addition, the permanent staff sometimes calls on international specialists to help best meet the specific needs of some patients. The centre is also involved in research and teaching.
Furthermore, since 2010 the CCM has maintained a solid strategic partnership with Siemens Healthineers, a leading player in medical imaging, laboratory diagnosis and hospital information systems, working with the supplier to develop ever more innovative medical solutions.
In early 2019, the resulting Siemens European Reference Centre for Cardiovascular Medicine, the first of its kind, opened the first two robotised hybrid operating theatres in South-East France. These combine operating theatres and interventional radiology to make complex operations quicker and less invasive.
