The Principality of Monaco launched the Taxi Monaco mobile app in April 2025: users can order a taxi in real time by sharing their location and obtain an estimate of the price of the trip, communicate with the driver and pay for the trip directly on the platform.
Available in French, English and Italian (Spanish, Russian and Chinese versions are coming soon), on the App Store and Google Play, this app also offers parent/child pairing for credit card sharing, travel tracking and the implementation of parental controls. Monegasque companies can link their employees to a central business account and manage payments directly. The app also lets travellers schedule trips to Nice and Ventimiglia in advance.
Another green feature? Users can opt for an electric vehicle when booking.
Monegasque authorities and innovative local companies worked closely together to develop the app, which was designed by a company specialised in taxi fleet management, based at the Monaco Boost incubator.
Taxi Monaco also enriches the Principality’s existing global mobility ecosystem of electric buses, MonaBikebikes, connected car parks, the Citymapper app and more. The app is part of the Extended Monacoprogramme driving the digital development of the Principality and enhances the digital experience of customers by offering an instant booking solution.
