Born of the Prince’s Government’s determination to develop new economic activities, it has already attracted more than 300 applications from around 30 countries and supported some 30 projects across a wide variety of fields (cleantech, fintech, medtech, smart city, yachting and the space industry).
Based in open-plan premises covering more than 800 m2 with 60 workstations, a co-working space and two laboratories, MonacoTech is the result of a partnership between Monaco Telecom, the Prince’s Government and Xavier Niel, who was also behind Station F in Paris, the world’s largest start-up incubator.
MonacoTech offers its start-ups tailored advice and follow-up with supervision from the Ministry of Finance and Economy and support from a number of administrative departments.
The programme also offers financial support from a specialist network (mentors, coaches, business angels, etc.) and strong partnerships, with, for example, Monaco Impact, a network of philanthropists and entrepreneurs who assist young businesses with a social impact in Monaco and environmental goals.
In addition, MonacoTech has been designed as a space for reflection and discussion, regularly hosting key figures from business and government for meetings, conferences and other presentations.
