This new-generation street furniture, installed in partnership with ClearChannel, is used to host Wi-Fi hotspots, provide targeted, real-time mobility information to transport users, enable access to online public services, and offer a medium for information and entertainment, all in one place.
This varied content, aimed at residents, commuters and tourists, is helping to introduce smart city services and opportunities into Monaco’s everyday life in a concrete way.
Installed in 33 important locations across the Principality, the shelters can also collect, process and cross-reference data in order to improve understanding and management of use and, over time, to develop the ability to make forecasts on key issues such as air quality, noise, traffic and energy consumption by buildings.
These bus shelters are the first symbols of Monaco’s smart city and vital platforms for communicating and interacting with the public. They will have a huge impact on the transport experience, on measuring quality of life and on connectivity in Monaco,
