Founded by H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie in 2004, the non-governmental organisation Fight Aids Monaco offers a weekly space for people who are HIV-positive or affected by HIV, as well as fun activities, outings and restorative weekends.

To combat the emotional distress, isolation and discrimination faced by many people living with HIV on a daily basis, Fight Aids offers a calm, safe and tolerant space which is open to all.

Various activities are available, ranging from physical options (yoga, Feldenkrais, dancing, walking, etc.) to creative workshops (drawing, painting, DIY, etc.) and cultural and sporting trips.

The NGO also helps those that it supports to overcome the financial problems that they may encounter in order, for example, to enable them to go on holiday or recuperate following a period of hospitalisation.

The Maison de Vie, which was officially opened on 26 June 2010 in Carpentras, complements this work, providing a non-medical space for relaxation and recuperation that can accommodate both patients and their families or partners.

The organisation also focuses on prevention, offering information sessions for young people and employees in the Principality, as well as Test in the City evenings.

Finally, Fight Aids has a presence in a number of countries through its cooperative work with Burundi, Madagascar and Mauritius.

Aware of H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie’s involvement in the battle against AIDS, the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) appointed her as the UNAIDS Special Representative in October 2006.

I stand with those who are battling HIV in their own lives, I encourage everyone to get screened, to protect themselves, and I thank all those who devote their time and money to efforts to fight AIDS.

The Barbagiuans team, led by Prince Albert of Monaco and his nephew, Louis Ducruet, took on the Cirque F.C. team, captained by Princess Stéphanie and Sébastien Frey. The match brought together football stars with links to the Principality, including Didier Deschamps, Ludovic Giuly, Fernando Morientes, Youri Djorkaeff, Robert Pirès, Clarence Seedorf and Luca Toni, as well as other sports personalities such as Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc.

In 2025, it was the Circus team who were crowned winners of the third Fight Aids Cup.
